A better Billund for Billund’s citizens and businesses
My name is Martin Ebmark, and I am running for the city council in Billund Municipality.
If I am elected, you will have a council member who will work with focus and professionalism to create even more growth and development in Billund for the benefit of the entire municipality – and who will make Billund a better city for its citizens.
I have a background where I have contributed to creating growth and development in many organizations, and I am confident that I can also contribute to Billund.

Billund for the Citizens of Billund
Billund must have better schools and leisure facilities, and our fantastic large companies must contribute more to creating benefits for the city’s residents. In the same way, I want our tourist attractions to give more advantages to the citizens of Billund.
Involvement of Our International Citizens
We have enormous potential in our international citizens – but also a responsibility to make them feel at home. I want to be their voice so they can become better integrated in the city and become a more active part of everyday life.
Optimal Conditions for Business
I want to be the voice of business in the city council and work to create the best possible framework for companies in Billund. I myself am a leader in business and have been throughout my adult life, so it is entirely natural for me to ensure that the municipality creates the optimal conditions for our companies to grow.
A Better Billund for Children and Young People
Our children and young people must have better opportunities in school and leisure. Existing facilities must be significantly upgraded. Our children and young people must truly feel that they live in the Capital of Children. They must have the best educational opportunities – both in terms of facilities and learning – and plenty of opportunities for leisure activities.
Growth in Billund for Everyone’s Benefit
I will work to create growth in the city of Billund – for the benefit of all residents in the municipality. Growth provides opportunities to make our wonderful city and municipality even better than they already are. Better for those who live in the city, for those who will move here in the future, and for those who visit us as tourists.
Our Large Companies Must Take Responsibility for the City
We are a small city with large companies that dominate the landscape – and that is positive. But it also requires that the companies take responsibility for the city and not become small closed “cities within the city.” I will work purposefully to ensure that our large companies contribute to a better city for the citizens of Billund.
Better Schools and Leisure Facilities
Most people will probably agree with me that our schools and leisure facilities are in urgent need of an upgrade. This will make it attractive for our children and young people to attend the municipality’s schools and ensure optimal conditions for our leisure and sports activities.
Tourism Beacon
We have a unique platform and opportunity. We already have several fantastic parks and an airport, but we must do much more. Both more attractions so that we become Denmark’s tourism beacon, and better branding so tourists know about it. And this must benefit the citizens of the city.
About Me
I am the CEO of Airport Hotel Billund and myself a newcomer to Billund from abroad. So I know what it is like to arrive in the city as a citizen from another country. I work in a very results-oriented way and want to create better conditions for the citizens of Billund by generating growth and involving our international citizens more in the life of the city.
